Screenings will take place at four Laemmle Theatre locations — Monica Film Center, NoHo, Glendale (two showings) — as well as Gardena Cinema. Organizers say the tour offers fans a rare chance to experience an independent horror-comedy in a full theatrical setting.

“This tour is about connecting with audiences directly,” said a producer of Vampire Zombies From Space. “We want people to enjoy the film as it was meant to be seen — on the big screen, with laughter, screams, and pure mayhem.”

The film features a mix of iconic and contemporary talent. Lloyd Kaufman, the legendary founder of Troma Entertainment and creator of The Toxic Avenger, joins Judith O’Dea, the original Barbara from Night of the Living Dead, and David Liebe Hart from Tim & Eric. Their appearances bring both nostalgia and fresh energy to the horror-comedy genre.

Producers describe the film as having a tone that combines “Mel Brooks with South Park,” promising a style of humor that is irreverent, satirical, and packed with practical effects. “We wanted to create chaos, laughter, and horror all in one,” said the director. “It’s absurd, it’s outrageous, but it’s exactly what fans of independent horror-comedy love.”

Since its release, Vampire Zombies From Space has garnered more than 20 international festival awards, establishing the film as a standout entry in the horror-comedy category. Its success on the festival circuit has created strong anticipation for the Los Angeles theatrical engagement.

The Drac Attack Tour began in Detroit on October 2 and continues to Cleveland, Portland, Indianapolis, Toronto, and other cities. Cast and crew members will be present in Los Angeles throughout the October 8–12 run, offering media opportunities, interviews, and photo calls.

“This is not just a screening; it’s a full experience,” said a member of the production team. “We’re bringing the film directly to audiences, and the energy in each city has been incredible. Los Angeles is going to be no different.”

The tour is also notable for its unconventional strategy. Unlike typical independent film releases, the Drac Attack Tour brings the film to multiple markets, building grassroots support while giving audiences a major-studio-style theatrical experience.
